MANILA, Philippines -- The Philippine Azkals went down a notch in the world standings, according to FIFA.
From 155th place, the Philippines dropped to 156th based on FIFA's ranking table as of May 18, 2011.
Last April, the Philippines fell from 151st place to 155th because of its performances against lower ranked teams in the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Challenge Cup.
The Azkals are currently preparing for their FIFA World Cup qualifying matches against Sri Lanka.
The first game, scheduled to take place in Colombo, Sri Lanka will take place on June 29.
The home game will be staged at the Rizal Memorial Football Stadium in Manila on July 3.
