MANILA, Philippines -- The Challenge Cup group stage match between the Philippine Azkals and the Palestine Fighters is now underway.
The Azkals and the Fighters are currently facing off at the Youth Training Centre in Yangon, Myanmar.
The Azkals are wearing their white uniforms while their Palestinian foes are sporting red and green.
The Filipino booters are coming off a 1-1 draw with host nation Myanmar.
The Palestinians on the other hand enjoyed a 2-nil victory over Bangladesh.
The Azkals need to score a victory over the taller Palestinian squad to boost their chances for the Challenge Cup tournament proper in 2012.
According to ABS-CBN Sports, the Filipinos will be looking out for Palestine's No. 9 Murad Eleyan, who scored his country's 2 goals versus Bangladesh.
